Targeted release in the small intestine
Iron absorption occurs in the duodenum, a section of the small intestines immediately after the stomach. Iron supplements are often provided with slow release technology but may not dissolve in time for absorption to occur in the duodenum. Any unabsorbed iron can lead to the production of free radicals and reactive oxygen species. Our iron formulation uses targeted release technology to deliver iron directly to the duodenum for maximum absorption.

Gentle on the stomach
Standard iron supplements are often associated with unpleasant side effects, including nausea and constipation. We use the well tolerated chelated iron bisglycinate form which binds iron to glycine, preventing irritation of gut tissue and minimising the unpleasant side effects of iron supplements. Targeted release technology releases iron in the small intestines, further preventing irritation in the stomach.

Meaningful dose without overloading the body
Excess iron can be harmful to health, with gastrointestinal upset more likely to occur when supplementing high dose iron. Iron Bisglycinate delivers a meaningful 20mg dose to support iron status without upsetting homeostasis. Additionally, absorption of iron in the bisglycinate form is regulated by haemoglobin and ferritin levels in the blood and is less likely to cause iron overload. Simply take one tablet in the morning on an empty stomach.

Energy support
Many people experience fatigue or reduced energy when iron stores are low. Iron supports energy production and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue by supporting the pathways for energy metabolism. Supplementing with bioavailable iron can be a quick and convenient way to boost levels.

Concentration & immune support
Iron supports normal cognitive function. Low levels may lead to poor concentration, brain fog and memory loss, common symptoms of iron insufficiency. As well as increasing iron absorption, vitamin C works synergistically with iron to support the function of the immune system.

Blood & cellular health
Shortness of breath often presents with low iron status. Iron supports the production of red blood cells and haemoglobin. Haemoglobin transports oxygen around the body, delivering oxygen to tissues. Iron is also required for cell division, important for cellular health.
