Smarter kids’ diet
“The brains of four children given a dietary supplement were boosted by up to three years of development, a study shows.
In just three months they showed remarkable improvements in reading, concentration, problem-solving and memory,.
Scans showed biochemical changes in their brains which affect nerve fibred.
The four, aged eight to 13, were given a supplement called Vegepa, a combination of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids. They were told not to eat junk food.
Prof Basant Puri, of Imperial College, London, who led the study, said: “It was astonishing.””
