I completed 4 years of study at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition (ION) in London, accredited by the University of Bedfordshire, where I graduated as a Registered Nutritional Therapist (Merit) in July 2012. I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT) which has a strict code of professional practice and is registered with the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC) which was established with government support to regulate complementary professions. My training involved a systems biology approach to health care known as Functional Medicine. This included modules in biochemistry, biology, physiology and anatomy, disordered physiology, phytotherapy, food and nutrition as well as many hours of clinical practice.
My background lies within the world of hospitality, having previously worked in senior positions for tour operators and international hotel companies, latterly running my own representation business specializing in providing sales and marketing support to the hotel industry. I therefore have a very good understanding of the pressures that many of us have to contend with on a daily basis and how this relates to our overall well being and stress levels!
I have a zest for nutrition and wellness and a passion for getting my patients back to optimum health.
