This nutritionally balanced supplement has been expertly formulated by Igennus nutrition scientists to deliver just the right daily doses of nutrients, in their most bioavailable forms, into the bloodstream. Each of the nutrients is provided at clinically effective levels but lower than upper limits. An adult serving provides 24mg zinc picolinate, 120mg elemental magnesium citrate (from 752mg bulk magnesium) and 10mg vitamin B6 (20mg for US-based customers). Split dosing provides all-day nutrient coverage for both adults and children (dose accordingly). Each bottle contains either 120 or 360 tablets, with dosing recommended between 1-4 tablets daily, age-dependent.

Highly-absorbable chelated zinc picolinate

Neurobalance contains 24mg of the chelated mineral form, zinc picolinate (bound to picolinic acid), which is highly bioavailable. The absorption of zinc in the body is a complex process that involves passing through the intestines, into the bloodstream, and up into individual cells. When comparing zinc citrate, gluconate and picolinate, absorption is enhanced when zinc is complexed with picolinic acid. Zinc picolinate also retains levels in the body for longer.

Fully reacted, bioavailable magnesium citrate

Neurobalance contains the bioavailable fully reacted magnesium form, magnesium citrate, providing 120mg elemental magnesium citrate (from 752mg bulk magnesium). Magnesium that is fully reacted is chemically bound to its carrier as opposed to supplements being buffered or a blend of magnesium oxide and citric acid. Unless magnesium citrate is fully reacted, it will contain poorly absorbed magnesium oxide, which often has laxative effects and has low bioavailability. Secondly, being fully reacted, magnesium citrate is effectively fast-tracked through the digestive system to deliver higher levels into the body.

Vitamin B6 as body-ready pyridoxal-5-phosphate

Our nutrition scientists have formulated this product using the most active, body-ready form of vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 exists in 6 forms but only the pyridoxal-5-phosphate form has enzyme cofactor activity. Taking a supplement in this form is key as vitamin B6 metabolism is often compromised, impacting the conversion of dietary vitamin B6 to pyridoxal-5-phosphate in the body.

No noticeable difference.

I started taking 4 of these per day, hoping they would improve my cognitive function and boost my energy. I have not noticed any difference nor improvements. The pills are easy to swallow, but have a very slightly bitter taste that is detectable if you don't swallow them right away. I don't mind the taste, and it certainly would be worth it if these worked.

Seems Like a High Quality Supplement; Havent Noticed Changes Yet...

This seems like a high quality supplement but I have yet to notice any results from taking it. When I say I, I really mean my 5 year old daughter who has ADHD. My chiropractor actually recommended certain supplements to give her and magnesium and vitamin B were among them so I figured I would give this a shot and see if it helps improve her symptoms. She's only been taking this for a little over a week now so Its possible I probably haven't given it enough time to fully gauge whether or not this works long term. I give my 5 year old one of these tablets a day. The pills are small and easy for a child to take but she has trouble swallowing pills so I grind them up and put them in with her morning oatmeal. The taste is fine and she doesn't seem to notice or care. For children ages 16 and up, take 4 daily, splitting them up. The bottle recommends children between the ages of 9 and 15 to take to and children ages 4 to 8 should only take one.

Helps marginally with sleep

I obtained this Igennus Neurobalance Supplement to help with sleep, as zinc, magnesium and B6 can all help with sleep. Zinc is needed for the body's defensive immune system to properly work. It plays a role in cell division, cell growth, wound healing, and the breakdown of carbohydrates. It also helps with sleep. Magnesium can help with sleep, as well as cardio and cell health. It too is an essential mineral our bodies need to support many chemical reactions in our body. There are so many forms of Magnesium. This product contains Magnesium Citrate which is more common used for constipation. Magnesium oxide is better for sleep, but not well absorbed. Vitamin B6 is one of the B vitamins that plays a key role in keeping the brain and nervous system functioning properly. Vitamin B6 also helps the body make melatonin, which is important in helping regulate your internal clock and your sleep. I am not taking 4 pills a day, I take one pill 2 hours before bed and I am noticing a small improvement in my sleep. After ordering this product and doing some further research I learned you have to be careful how much B6 you take as it can lead to long term nerve issues. It concerns me as this Neurobalance supplement contains 1000% of our daily values of B6. Its still not at a really high level but we have to be cautious that vitamins and minerals are consumed daily in our regular diet. Always use caution when taking supplements and check with your doctor. These pills are fairly small and very easy to swallow.

Give me Gentle Energy - General Increase Feeling of Wellbeing

I already take magnesium but I probably should take more. I've started taking these in addition because they contain to other supplements that have been suggested by my doctor. I also like that this is a different type of magnesium than the other one I take.To start out with I saw some comments about how they smell and honestly I do not notice anything unpleasant. To me they smell a little bit like Elmers glue. So not sure what the big deal is. So far no digestive upsets and sleeping fine.The only thing I did not like was the shape of the tablets. They are small like an aspirin but about twice as thick. For me I prefer a capsule shape for easy swallowing. I have trouble with pills getting stuck at the entrance to my stomach and usually will have to eat something for them to pass through. Capsules go down a little better. It's not a big deal I just eat a little something and I think these are better absorbed with food according to the bottle, so it's not a huge problem.I suffer from disabling anxiety and do not get any relief from any of the typical medications from the doctor...in fact they make it worse so I take supplements and focus on doing the best I can with exercise to control my symptoms. These help me not so much with getting rid of anxiety but just a general sense of well being which leads to me being able to diffuse the anxiety naturally without having to take Xanax. Xanax does work but it's addictive and will cease to be effective if I take it more than a couple times a week. Taking these just make me more resilient and I feel like they give me more productive energy levels, without making me feel like I am taking a stimulant.I will check back in after I finish the bottle and change my rating up or down if need be. Right now I gave it 4 stars for no side effects and I feel some benefits. I am hopeful it continues.Thanks for reading my review.Becky Brooks
