Standard absorption of vitamin B12 via the gut relies on several factors that can easily be compromised, and is limited to small quantities of B12 at any one time. Absorption is usually reliant on adequate stomach acid to detach B12 from proteins in the diet, and the presence of intrinsic factor (IF) - a binding protein which supports absorption in the intestines. Levels of stomach acid and IF are often reduced by medication, genetic variations, digestive disorders and ageing, leading to reduced B12 uptake.

These are strawberry tasting dissolve pellets that have 1000mcg of Vitamins that you put under your tongue and bypass your gut into your blood stream. I can't drink coffee so I needed a pick me up for in the morning and this was it. The value is really good very affordable for the amount you get 180 tablets. Just put one under your tongue and done. As far as energy I gave it a 4 stars because to be honest I haven't really felt a big difference yet. I am hoping it just takes time to build up?

Small dissolvable vitamins that sit under your tongue. They have a strawberry taste which I actually like, it does take about 10 minutes to dissolve however. I have felt the difference in my energy since taking these as I have low iron and these are working wonders for me! There’s so many, worth the money.

I've previously had to have B12 injections which are painful. But since taking this product my B12 levels are perfectly fine and I feel much better within myself.

I like the sublingual vitamins and this is a fun way to take B12.As it is on the bottle: Sublingual delivery bypasses the gut and fast-tracks B12 directly into the bloodstream to raise levels effectively.Tiny tablet to be put under the tongue and allow it to dissolve.It has a strawberry flavour which isn't too overpowering and it is sweet just right, so no sugar overload for us trying to avoid sugar on every corner.It contains 3 bioactive forms of B12 - methylcobalamin, adenosylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin, equal blend (each 333mcg per tablet).Strawberry flavour is natural and the sweetener is stevia leaf extract.Very happy with this B12 and would recommend it to all vegans/vegetarians.

This must be the tiniest tablet ever! I wonder if it is too small, however, because it takes a good few minutes to absorb fluid and crumble under the tongue - as if the constituents are too compacted. Of course, we all have a good few minutes to allow these tabs to perform as they should but, being so small, it is easy to forget that you are carrying this little bundle of goodness and you may just ruin things by crunching it and/or swallowing it without being aware of it. At least, this is my experience. You see, Vit B12 is produced ordinarily in the stomach in the presence of intrinsic factor and if you are deficient, as many of us of a certain age are, it is likely that something is awry with this gastric mechanism. The way around this is to get your dose into the blood stream sometime before it hits the stomach - via the mouth being the obvious route. This means that any that is accidentally swallowed is likely to be wasted.Having said this, these pleasant tasting tabs contain three forms of Vit B12 to cover all bases and are currently at a nice price for 6 months' worth. As long as you don't forget that they are under your tongue, I am happy to recommend them.

Long lasting

I ordered these B12 supplements as I have been feeling fatigued lately and had read that B12 can help give you a boost.I try to get as many vitamins I can through my food but B12 is one of the more difficult ones as the body does not create its own and any you do get is absorbed quickly.I usually take a tablet form of supplement but I thought i would try these sublingual ones, they say to put it under your tongue and allow it to absorb that way, do not chew.I have been doing this but I find they take a long time to dissolve, maybe that is the idea.The flavour is strawberry and they taste sweet but not too sweet and does not leave any after taste.As far as I’m concerned any vitamins are good vitamins so I will continue to use these to see if I notice any effects, it will not be an instant effect so will update this review in due course.

Great b12 tablets

I suffer with a b12 deficiency and I find the usual tablets don't work much as I have a stomach issue that means I don't absorb things properly.You pop one of these under your tongue and let it dissolve. It take a few mins to dissolve but as it doesn't sit in your gut, it gets into your system more quickly.They taste a little chalky but they have a hint of strawberry in them. Overall for the money you get a lot of tablets (180). Great tablets, I recommend.
