Methylated & active forms

As B vitamins are often difficult to utilise in the body, especially for those with the MTHFR genetic variants (which impact how your body processes folic acid and other important B vitamins), this multivitamin contains methylated and active B vitamin forms. These body-ready B vitamins are easily accessible to use straight away. We use methylated folate rather than poorly absorbed folic acid, vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate which has cofactor activity to support various processes in the body, and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin.

High absorption nutrients

We use the optimally absorbed, fully reacted and chelated zinc and copper glycinate. As zinc and copper compete for absorption, this formula contains an optimal ratio to keep the body in balance. While there are two forms of vitamin D, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is better absorbed and utilised and is significantly more biologically effective than vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol). Our D3 is sourced from sustainable algae. We have omitted iron from this formula as the standard diet provides sufficient levels for men; excessive iron intake in men can raise oxidative stress markers.

Lycopene is a carotenoid antioxidant found in red fruit and vegetables, responsible for their red pigmentation. Providing 9.5mg per serving, lycopene provides extra support against free radicals and oxidative stress and is well documented for supporting prostate, cardiovascular, eye and cellular health. Men generally have higher baseline metabolic rates (BMR) than women, which may contribute to higher levels of oxidative stress in the body. Happy to have discovered these

Seem great. My husband and son have previously not been able to stick to taking a regular multi either due to the smell of them, or they apparently repeat.
These are great as are well tolerated on both issues and I really like the formulation with the easily absorbed forms of the vitamins.

Folic Acid !? DONT TRUST

I ordered the product from their site, used it for weeks. Then i noticed that the product contains "Folic Acid (as methylfolate)". Folic Acid is man-made and does not exist in the form of Methylfolate. FOLATE is natural and can be bought in its active form (methylfolate). Igennus advertice with Folate as Methylfolate, but on the actual product it reads "Folic Acid (as methylfolate)". So what is actually in the product? Are they using Folic Acid, the cheaper, much less absorbable version? Do they know what they are doing?
I also bought their kids vitamines. I chucked them all!

Thank you for your review. We have updated our labelling to reflect and clarify that we use folate as methylfolate. We have only ever used methylfolate, but there was a time when EFSA guidelines made it a requirement for supplement companies to use folic acid as the official name for labelling purposes, regardless of the form used. This is why it has been listed on some of our previous labels as Folic acid with ‘as methylfolate’ shown in brackets. It looks as though you have a product with one of these pre-updated labels. Please be reassured however that we have never used folate in the form of folic acid in any of our products, including our Multivitamin & Minerals for Men and our Kids Multivitamin.

Not what I ordered

Great product but not what I ordered. I ordered "for men" and received "for women ". The scan label from the distribution center is incorrectly applied. The "for women" vitamin is lower in dosage than the counterparts.

Does the job

Very happy with this for the majority of my vitamins.But it's too low for the vitamin D3.I take another for that.

Easy size for swallowing

I usually struggle to swallow tablets and ordered these in the hole that they wouldn't be too big. They're not, and they seem to have a coating on them which makes them easy to swallow. Will order again

Good start for a healthy lifestyle

The received tub is enough for a month, as you need to take 2 tablets a day; preferably 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. This food supplement with added minerals and vitamins, is specially designed for men. It is also suitable for vegans. I wish the tablets were smaller!My personal experience is that taking supplements are proven to be beneficial for your physical and mental wellbeing in the long term. Of course you cannot expect miracles, you need to look after yourself, exercise and eat a healthy diet. I used to take similar tablets a few years back, and I have to say I felt so much better. Without them I feel tired all the time, it feels like I am on energy saving mode. So hopefully the goodness of this product kicks in soon.

All day nutrition in two convenient egg shaped capsules

I've been taking these for a few weeks now and so far so good.I chose this supplement because I liked the wide variety of vitamins found in two convenient capsules. Two gives you the nutrition you need all day.There's plenty of beta carotene, a fair amount of vitamin C, D3, iron and more.I like that the vitamin E in these capsules is natural vitamin E. That was one of the reasons I chose this supplement. I've read sufficient research that shows that synthetic vitamin E is dangerous healthwise so I always choose the natural option when I can.The ingredients in this supplement are not organic, but non gmo and vegan. These are made in the UK but appear to be distributed by a company in the US.The bottle is mostly full of product too. All in all, a supplement I would choose again.

This is a great, highly absorbent, nutrient dense supplement. It has a lot of natural ingredients and is specifically formulated for men.I got this for my son and I as we are big into supplements. I seek the more natural supplements whenever I can, especially with multi's. What's also nice about this one is the price point.

Vegan

Great vegetarian / Vegan multivitamin. My husband needed a new option but it's hard to find ones that fit all his needs. This one is also free of soy, yeast, dairy and lactose. So it was the perfect option! Easy to swallow. Recommend 2 a day but he's starting with one a day for now. Arrived sealed and safe. Very happy with this product

I eat a plant based diet and therefore take a multivitamin daily just to assure that I'm getting enough b12 (the one vitamin that might possibly be lacking among modern plants.) This vitamin has worked well for me so far, though really I have no way to confirm that.DOUBLE DOSE: Yeah the double daily dose is a bit of a hassle but I would suspect that it allows your body to better utilize the vitamins as you're not getting one massive dose and flushing it out quickly. Spread the love throughout the day!TASTE/TEXTURE: These don't taste bad and are easy to swallow. They don't have a bad smell either.REMEMBER: Keep in mind that the 60 tablets included mean that this is essentially a 30 day supply.

Less is more

I'm one of those guys who hates having to take more than 3 pills, so I always welcome products that consolidate multiple supplements into one pill. I also love that it will clear up counter space.

Good so far. No digestive issues

Vitamins are a difficult item to review because the results are not always obvious or visible. What I can say so far is I have not had any digestive issues, the vitamins are easy to swallow, and the smell - like most multivitamin combinations - is similar to other brands I have had in the past. I did notice a bit of an energy uptick from the B vitamins, but again, nothing major. I don't see any bad byproducts in the vitamins... mostly just stuff to bulk or bind the ingredients.

It was sealed with a shrink wrapper that was easy to open with a red line indicating the serrated opening edge.The brown plastic bottle, coded as type 1 resin, was sealed with foam under the cap. Sealed for freshness and tamper evidence.The expiration date is legibly printed on the bottle -- March 2025.The medium-sized capsules are easy to swallow and have not taste, scent, or aftertaste.A good value when offered at $16 at the time of our review. 60 tablets at two per day is 30 days or about $.53 per suggested dose.

A bioavailable multivitamin

These are a pretty good daily multivitamin. You are supposed to take one on the morning and one in the evening, but that's hard to remember to do. I like that most of the vitamins are in their bioavailable forms (especially the methylated B vitamins and methylfolate). I wish most the vitamins and minerals were closer to 100% DV instead of in the 300% or higher range. We solve this by taking 1 a day rather than 2. They are easy enough to swallow, but they have a funny aftertaste.

I like it...

I like this vitamin. It has all the standard vitamins and minerals one could want in a daily vitamin. It also has some extras, which I like too. The addition of lycopene is great. I'm also a fan of it being made in the UK - it's not the US, but the UK has some stringent rules for supplements. About the only thing I am not a fan of is that the serving is 2 tablets. That means this 30 pack is really a 15 day supply. I'm the kind of guy who likes taking my once daily vitamin in the morning after my 2nd cup of coffee. With this, it's suggested to take one in the morning and one in the evening and that's something I'm likely going to forget to do. Other than that, I really like the product.

Great product for men's health

Great for men's overall health. The tablets have a lot of the vitamins and minerals required for daily health. The tablets can be easily swallowed and do not have much taste to them.

Contain essential vitamins and minerals!

My husband has been advised to take a daily supplement of 400ug folic acid and I've chosen Pure & Essential Advanced Multivitamins and Minerals for Men as they're slow release and contain the exact amount of folic acid he needs plus an additional 22 key nutrients including Lycopene, Vitamins D, B6 and B12. There are 60 tablets in the bottle and as the recommended daily dose is 2 tablets taken at different times of the day, they'll last him a month. They're expensive but if they improve his health they'll be well worth it.
