This is my favorite!

After 47 years fully vegan and NO collagen powders, I found this and love it! Daily, I like it in my coffee. Shake and drink. The science behind it for skin, heart health, hair, nails, and more is strong. Good job Igennus

Does not stay dissolved in liquid.

Does not stay dissolved it settles to the bottom of your drink time after time and you have to reshake it. I would not repurchase. I also felt no real improvement in my joints, was really looking forward to the benefits I expected.

Decent Vanilla-flavored Collagen Booster

This has a distinctive vanilla aroma and flavor as well. I mix this with my morning smoothie greens, and it adds significant bulk and a hint of vanilla. Depending on how much liquid is in your mix, it can also have that mildly chalky vibe that pea protein powder tends to give. A serving of this also adds 11 grams of protein to your diet, and this has no added sweeteners.

Genetically Modified Collagen

Do not make a mistake. This "Plant Based Vegan Vanilla Collagen Peptide Powder, Enhanced with Glycine, Proline & Hydroxyproline & Cofactor Vitamin C, Non GMO, Advanced Vegetarian Collagen Powder Booster, 35 Servings, by Igennus" is not collagen but more of a collagen-booster. Collagen can only be found on animals. Even genetically modified vegan collagen is sourced from yeast, bacteria, and animal DNA.Now that you know what this powder is. I have been adding this to my smoothies to boost the production of my body's collagen. It adds a slight hint of vanilla to my chocolate-flavored smoothies. Love the taste.Again, if you need a vegan collagen booster - you want this product. If you need true vegan collagen then you are out of luck - it does not exist. Good stuff though!

better mixed with smoothies

This is a fine but quite sticky powder so it's better to add it to water instead of pouring water over it to avoid unmixable clumps. To me it has a vanilla scent but not so much the flavour, it has a typical vegan protein taste - not the best, a tiny bit of a bitter aftertaste but not as bad as protein only powders, the other ingredients must have improved the flavour.Typically marine or bovine collagen is found in similar powders but this being vegan makes it a bit healthier and available for a larger number of people and diets to consume while still getting all the benefits that non-vegan powders have.In addition to collagen there is naturally occurring protein, vitamins and amino acids - all things needed for everybody but especially great if you workout, I usually use it with other green powders or in a smoothie post-workout or as a quick pre-workout meal if I'm hungry.

Vegan and collagen thank you!

I've been using this for almost a month now and I can say I see a little bit of a difference in my Skin's condition after consuming this product. Being that it has no additives and no sugar it didn't seem to give any kind of flavor except for a very slight vanilla flavor to things you added in. I've added it in yogurt hot chocolate and a little bit into a milk tea. I find if you mix it thoroughly in a smaller batch and then add a little more liquid at a time until it becomes basically a liquid it's much easier to mix into whatever you're using it in. Overall I feel like it's very high quality and does exactly what collagen is supposed to do. I've had no side effects or any issues with consuming this product. If you're looking to add collagen into your diet I would recommend this.

Plant-Based Building Blocks To Body's Own Collagen Production

This supplement contains protein, amino-acids and vitamin C, that are the building blocks for the body to produce its own collagen. It is completely plant-based - no animal products. It mirrors the nutritional properties of collagen. Each scoop provides some 11 grams of protein. It does not mix so easily, which is kind of common to many collagen and protein powders. The vanilla taste is delicious when mixed to milk. It is very low carb and, the best of all, it is sugar free.

I review to help you
11g of protein per serving

This is different to the marine collagen that I normally use this is more of a meal supplement with 3 amino acids that you would find in collagen this making it a good alternative for vegansIt's got a 11g of protein per serving I first tried it with water and it tasted terrible so now I am using with almond milk and it tastes a lot better but not as good as when I make pancakes with itI have noticed that it says not to mix it with coffee that I can do with the collagen I been usingYou get 35 servings from a pack so at 1 a day it's just over a month's supply

Contains no sugar, no artificial flavor or sweetener.

Vegan Vanilla Collagen Peptide PowderThe item arrived as describe no issues. All seals were intact and had an expiration date of 7/26.It's is a fine powder that dissolves well in water and almond milk. However, clumped a little when I mixed with cold almond milk.A neutral comment I have is with the products taste. While it is sugar free by itself the vanilla flavor is bland. However, with that said it contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners, so I understand why.It is a very good source of collagen, amino acids, protein as well as a few vitamins and minerals. I compensated for taste by mixing it with my morning hot chocolate. It was a good combination that I enjoyed. After consuming, I had no adverse reactions and I will continue to consume in until it is all gone.Overall, it is an affordable source for collagen, it is a clean product"containing no sugar, no artificial flavors or sweeteners. I would recommend to other with a caveat related to no sugar and artificial flavor or sweeteners. It may not meet the taste expectations of some.

Good vegan powder, tastes ok with long shelf life.

The powder came dry with no lumps or clumps. A scoop is included and it mixes very easily. I like to mix it with milk but water works well too if you are vegan. It had a long shelf life of nearly 3 years.I mix my shakes in a bullet blender and this adds volume and mixes very easily. This makes the drink creamier and slightly thicker but adds air which might give some people wind, personally I like it like this. The flavour is vanilla and personally I found it fairly pleasant. I'm used to drinking various protein drinks and some of the vegan ones, especially the ones with high pea protein are a struggle to get down, this one is actually fairly nice. It has very little sugar which is a big plus.Quality protein and low sugar, a good product especially if you are vegan. At the time of review this had a 25% off voucher but I think I'd knock a star off at full price.

Not so good

I like the idea of this product. I like the ingredients and I like that it doesn't contain sugar or artificial sweeteners. However, I couldn't eat my yogurt after I put the powder in it. The serving size is a rather large scoop, at least two tablespoons. I have a picture of the powder next to my yogurt and then after I mixed it together. I kept adding more yogurt but it didn't help. I tried to eat it but it was like eating wallpaper paste. (although I never actually ate wallpaper paste). The instructions say you can mix it in a smoothie or yogurt. If I try it again I will put a much smaller amount in a drink. I think this probably deserves a higher rating but since I find it unpalatable I can't give it one.

Advanced VEGAN Pro-COLLAGEN with Vitamin C

This powder package of Advanced VEGAN Pro-COLLAGEN with Vitamin C from IGENNUS HEALTHCARE NUTRITION is a vegan dietary supplement to provide nutritional protein collagen for your body. The package suggests adding a scoop to your smoothie, yogurt or porridge -- BUT NOT your coffee.

Ok.

This vegan collagen powder is ok. Firstly I think it's very expensive for the amount you get. It was barely filled half way (which you can see from the picture). This means you'll end up having to re-buy often and the money can add up and become very expensive. When I first opened it had a very pleasant smell. However I'm not a fan of the flavour. Yes I do taste the vanilla very strongly but it has this other unpleasant taste to it. Maybe if you add it into your milkshake you won't taste it as much.

Mixes well

This is a nice, easy way to add some extra protein and other beneficial nutrients to my breakfast. As that's mainly yoghurt, I wanted to see how well it mixes in. You can see for yourself! The flavour isn't unpleasant and one scoop day means this will last a while ????

Dollypops
Best in a smoothie or milkshake

What I like about this product is the lack of nasty artificial additives and sweeteners. There is xantham gum which is a thickener, but no sugar or sweeteners, just a pleasant vanilla taste. Having added it to fruit and yogurt, I wouldn't do that again as the powder works best in cold milk to ensure a better mix and more even distribution (ie fewer lumps). Also worth noting that, presumably due to the high protein content, this is very filling.

Pleasant taste. It's light natural vanilla. Suitable for vegans, vegetarians, halal and kosher.

It tasted hint of vanilla, with a more pea protein taste in my mouth, not a big fan of the pea protein taste, or a few ingredients, pea protein, brown rice protein, Ascorbic acid< The fake vitamin-c, sunflower seed protein, I would take all that out and just throw in Hemp the best plant based protein, which has better bioavalability into the muscles than the other ones. It looks like it's the full spectrum of aminos but some of them are low dosed for the mix 1 level scoop 14g into porridge, yoghurt, desserts, smoothies but not coffee.I actually prefer the earthy flavour of hemp instead mix with vanilla would be better for me, but that's just me. I think it's decent way of getting collagen in the body at the very least it does help with all sorts in the body, from tendons, skin, hair, nails, boosts muscle recovery, ligments and joints far too many to state in this review. It does work eventually to help recovery and less joint pain, but these things can take some months to work, some weeks for others based on my experience with it talking to many people who have used similar products. it does come with a scoop but mine was buried deep within.I'm going with a I don't like it but I don't dislike it completely, pick those ingredients and ask google why they can be bad, you will get an AI response based off the web and research it some more, we need less sunflower stuff, less pea protein, and less brown rice on the market as they are not exactly healthy to have if you compare it with hemp. You do get 35 days worth at 28 quid I guess that's typically the price range for these protein powders. It is vegan and nearly sugar free, but the source of sugar comes from vanilla, which is really low in 100g of vanilla is13g sugar, but being only 0.1g sugar for 14g serving is good nice and low and still tasted pleasant. Just don't like the aftertaste of pea protein.Doesn't contain GMO's or sweeteners, no artificial colours or flavours so props to that. Essentially is a 4 star product, but I took 2 off for the ingredients I didn't like. Typically pea protein bloats me, and so does brown rice things, and sun flower seeds have more omega 6 than omega 3. What you want is more omega 3.Lastlly according to the bag this is suitable for vegans, vegetarians, halal, and kosher diets.

Can I add this to coffee ?

Igennus Healthcare Nutrition

Thank you for your question. Our Vegan Pro-Collagen Protein Powder is not intended for use in water or hot drinks such as coffee, as it may not disperse properly if not mixed very well. The nutty, wholesome flavour pairs better with other foods, such as plant milks (using a protein shaker bottle) or blended into smoothies. It could also easily be added to porridge, soups, or homemade snack balls.

Kind regards,

Lara Schneider

I have been using the Vegan Pro-Collagen ORIGINAL. I just can't get over how sweet it tastes. Its sooo much sweeter than any unflavoured protein shake or similar powder I've had in the past. The pack claims no added sugar or sweetener but this can't be the case. It really tastes like there's some form of artificial sweetener in it. If not - whats creating the sweetness, which ingredient?

Igennus Healthcare Nutrition

Thank you for your question. I can assure you that, despite its sweet taste, our Vegan Pro-Collagen Protein Powder does not contain any added sweeteners.

To match the amino acid profile of non-vegan collagen products (bovine and fish), we add proline, glycine, and hydroxyproline, which are responsible for the sweetness. These individual amino acids are produced via fermentation using corn-derived glucose, which also gives the finished product a natural sweetness. As stated in the nutrition table, this product contains 4.1g of carbohydrates per 100g, of which 0.6g are naturally present sugars.

Kind regards,
