Trio of vitamin K1 & K2 forms

Taking both vitamin K1 and K2 together is ideal as they each have unique roles in the body, and therefore, when combined, support a broader range of functions. This formula provides vitamin K1 and two different forms of vitamin K2 as MK-4 and MK-7, both of which are processed differently in the body. MK-4 has a shorter half-life and plays an important role in vascular health, and MK-7 has a longer half-life and may be more effective for bone and metabolic health.

Natural, bioactive trans forms

Vitamin K can be present in either the cis or trans molecular structure, which affects how the body recognises and utilises the compound. The trans form is found in nature, and binds to the correct enzymes to maximise health benefits. The cis form is virtually biologically inactive, and poor-quality supplements may contain significant amounts of the cis form. When a molecule has all of the double bonds in the trans configuration, this is referred to as all-trans. This formula is body-ready, providing three all-trans forms of vitamin K.

Optimal doses

This high potency formula provides 2700 mcg of vitamin K, at clinically studied doses far exceeding the nutrient reference value, to provide intensive support. The amount of vitamin K1 in a typical diet is around 10 times that of vitamin K2, but bioavailability is poor from food sources. Conversion from K1 to K2 in the body is also limited, therefore supplementing with vitamin K2 is an effective way to boost levels of this important nutrient. This formula ensures levels of vitamin K2 are not excessive, therefore well tolerated.
