Iron Bisglycinate 20mg with vitamin C has been expertly formulated to support iron levels without the negative side effects associated with standard iron supplements, which are also poorly absorbed. Compounds in the diet including fibre, polyphenols and phytates can bind to iron and inhibit its absorption. To overcome this, we use the gentle chelated bisglycinate form which has higher bioavailability – up to 90% more than other forms. Iron bisglycinate is absorbed approximately 4x better than ferrous sulphate and sustains iron levels for longer. Targeted release technology delivers iron directly to the site of maximum absorption, the duodenum in the small intestines. We add co-factor vitamin C to enhance absorption by binding iron to transferrin, a protein that delivers iron to cells where it is needed.


This product is not recommended for men, women post-menopause or young women pre-menstruation without prior iron testing.

Directions & Warnings

Adults: take 1 tablet daily in the morning.

For optimal absorption, ideally take one hour before food. Do not exceed the stated dose.

High absorption iron bisglycinate

Gentle on the stomach

Standard iron supplements are often associated with unpleasant side effects, including nausea and constipation. We use the well tolerated chelated iron bisglycinate form which binds iron to glycine, preventing irritation of gut tissue and minimising the unpleasant side effects of iron supplements. Gastrointestinal upset is also more likely to occur when supplementing high dose iron, therefore we provide a meaningful 20mg dose to support iron status, without overloading the body.

Targeted release in the small intestine

Iron absorption occurs in the duodenum, a section of the small intestine immediately after the stomach. Iron supplements are often provided with slow release technology but may not dissolve in time for absorption to occur in the duodenum. Any unabsorbed iron can lead to the production of free radicals and reactive oxygen species. Our iron formulation uses targeted release technology to deliver iron directly to the duodenum for maximum absorption, and preventing irritation in the gut.

Energy production
